Food for Thought:

 Fahrenheit 451 by Raymond Brady

A society that is being brainwashed by the mainstream media; A world where people are kept in the dark about the truth of the wars going on around them; a time where technology and people have abolished literature; and even more tragic a society too preoccupied being entertained by their 3-D TV's and "reality TV shows" to even notice the imminent threat of nuclear war . . . Hard to believe these are all issues touched upon in a book written over 50 years ago.

It disappoints and frightens me to think how close we are to unknowingly becoming the robotic ignorant civilization Bradbury describes. If your tired of being numbed by that special LCD or LED TV you spent so much money on or if your just HUNGRY for some knowledge, Fahrenheit 451 is an enlightening way to spend that extra time you have on your hands. I highly recommend you to upload this into your Nook, Kindle, I Pad, or however you do your reading these days. I got an even crazier notion, why don't pick up a copy at a bookstore, or borrow one from your local library. Make sure the books don't burn.

Sick Edward Scissorhands/Nightmare Before Christmas Piece

mz dOt's favorite Things . . .

Personally, Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands and the Holiday Season just go hand in hand. It's not Christmas time for me until I've enjoyed watching Edwards journey down from his castle to classic American suburbia circa 1950's through Tim Burton's genius vision. Take a peek below to revisit an old favorite, and salute Tim Burton for his unique film-making and artistic creation.

"You see, before he came down here, it never snowed. And afterwards, it did. If he weren't up there now... I don't think it would be snowing. Sometimes you can still catch me dancing in it." - Kim
